This way the fluid is going to go threw the cooler and drop the fluid temps even lower. This in what extends the life of both the trans and the fluid. 1. locate the lines. I have always ran external tranny coolers whether my radiator had tranny cooler fittings or not. They are extremely inexpensive compared to the cost of tranny rebuild. I'm sure others will chime in with recommendations.

Web14 de ago. de 2005 · Definitely a cooler. For HP engines, trans, inside the radiator coolers are not sufficient. DON'T GO TOO BIG. The trans can run TOO COLD. I had one with a big aux cooler eliminating the radiator cooler and was a hp turbo/street car, and found a RUSTY DIP STICK above the oil level. (Mobil 1 ATF) Downsized to a smaller cooler.
