Web23 mei 2016 · I will use a FRPP seal, set the crush @ 010-015, new main bearings, Clean the cap on a sheet of glass and 600 grit, add a one piece pan gasket and call it good. All over the inside of the engine is this reddish colored coating. I'll bet it is from some sort of stop leak... Thanks Critter, I appreciate the help! William-in-Saint-George W wayde Web15 okt. 2005 · Check to be sure they are there. If not the hole they go into goes right through the crankshaft flange into the oil pan cavity. It will pump the oil out into the flywheel cover and it drips on the ground. You would swear it's the rearmain seal! I believe there are two or three of these pins in the crankshaft flange. It only takes one!

Web25 jun. 2015 · Not the correct way but in a pinch you can install the seal first without the wear ring , then start the wear ring onto crankshaft and use the flywheel to push it flush. You can also make a make shift tool with flat steel that is the same diameter as the seal and a couple of holes to pull it up. tis will bring seal and wear ring in to gether hidery
