Web6 jan. 2024 · The brake pads are very close to the rotors and initially hit the surface rust when reversing making a squeak or whining sound even when not braking. As soon as the surface rust is worn off by braking the noise will disappear and that is why you cannot replicate it at the dealer. This can happen with any car and is nothing to worry about.
