By way of context, the Incorporated Societies Act 2024 will enter fully into force in October 2024. However, in order to function as intended, it must first be supplemented by regulations. Webare also fines up to $3,000 if a society fails to comply with the Act. 11. Offences Existing societies will need to re-register under the new Act by applying to the Registrar of Incorporated Societies. Existing incorporated societies should consider: • Whether the society meets the requirements to re-register under this new Act.
