Normal foveal threshold 24-2
WebBecause of the lack of normative data on the OCT3, the study suggested that the cutoff for the upper level of normal foveal thickness be 200 μm, based on their analysis of the existing literature. Our findings do not agree with their assessment. We use 2 SDs to define the cutoffs for the upper and lower levels of normal foveal thickness. WebAfter 24 hours, there may be loss of the foveal reflex and within 7 days a yellowish foveal lesion may be present. After 2 weeks, the lesion disappears in milder cases [5, 7, 9].
